The Institute of Security Technologies MORATEX is implementing the partnership project “Science4Business – Science for Business” in a consortium of:

• Gdynia Maritime University (Leader),
• University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn,
• Kazimierz Wielki University in Bydgoszcz,
• Institute of Horticulture – National Research Institute

The project will involve R&D work based on research results with identified commercial potential under Task 1 “Development Incubator.” Below are the assumptions of the next proposal selected by the ITB “MORATEX”:

New material solutions in the field of filter fabrics for companies in the gas industry

The aim of this project is to develop new-generation material solutions for filter sleeves in natural gas filtration processes and to verify their properties.

The project will involve laboratory testing of selected material compositions, covering basic physical, mechanical, and chemical parameters. A key element of the work will be the verification of the filtration properties of the selected variants, including filtration efficiency (%), filtration resistance characteristics for a clean filter, analysis of the fiber diameter distribution in the product (SEM), and filter performance simulation. The results of the performed work on assessing their properties will enable the development of a series of filter fabrics with optimized properties that will be widely used in the gas industry.

The total cost of the project is: 495 892,00 PLN.
