On May 28, 2025, a meeting was held at the headquarters of the \u0141ukasiewicz Research Network – Institute for Sustainable Technologies, the purpose of which was to receive the results of the implementation of the contract for a research station for shredding post-consumer and technological waste based on ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene fibers (UHMWPE). The station and process of shredding waste from non-woven flat textile products based on UHMWPE were validated, as well as training in the operation of the new device.<\/p>\n

We can boast a research stand \u00a0(proof of concept) \u00a0that allows the shredding of post-consumer and technological waste based on ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene fibers (UHMWPE) to particles with an average size of \u2264 0.5 mm at a capacity of 1 kg\/h, which is a very satisfactory result.<\/span><\/p>\n

The solution is being developed as part of the project \u201cEnsuring Circularity of Soldier Personal Protection Equipment\u201d acronym UTILE.<\/p>\n
