The Institute of Security Technologies MORATEX is implementing the partnership project “Science4Business – Science for Business” in a consortium of:

Gdynia Maritime University (Leader),
University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn,
Kazimierz Wielki University in Bydgoszcz,
Institute of Horticulture – National Research Institute

The project will involve R&D work based on research results with identified commercial potential under Task 1 “Development Incubator.” Below are the assumptions of the next proposal selected by the ITB “MORATEX”:

Ballistic Tactical Shirt

The project will develop technology for a Ballistic Tactical Shirt (BKT) designed for uniformed services personnel, with the following combined protective properties:

• protection against fragments,
• cut resistance,
• flame retardancy,
• ergonomy, and compatibility with uniforms.

The essence of the solution will be the development of a functional laboratory model of the BKT in the form of: series of variant material arrangements, as well as avatarization (3D models) of the resulting solutions obtained using Optitex 3D software, for optimal fit with uniform components and the user’s physique, thus optimizing the ergonomics of the product design. The challenge of the work will be to combine high protective requirements while also enabling the maintenance process of the finished product.

The total cost of the project is: 499 955,00 PLN.
