The 5th Kuyavian-Pomeranian Symposium
The 5th Kuyavian-Pomeranian Symposium
On 23, September 2025, Katarzyna Karolak-Romaniuk, an employee of the Institute of Security Technologies MORATEX, participated in the 5th Kuyavian-Pomeranian Symposium, the main topics of which were road traffic safety, emergency medical services, and civil protection.
The event was open to the public – not only professionals but also residents of the region, security enthusiasts, students, and teachers were invited to participate. It was an excellent opportunity to gain practical knowledge, establish new contacts, and work together to build a safer society.

The Symposium featured two thematic panels: “Emergency Medical Services and Civil Protection” and “Civil Defense and Rescue in Systemic Practice: Strategic Directions and Challenges in Managing Civil Security.” The importance of the first 72 hours of a military, terrorist or breakdown danger, was emphasized, as was the importance of public education to ensure that each resident was able to take care of themselves during the first few hours: have a supply of drinking water for several days, charged power banks to charge their phones and stay in touch with the outside world, have flashlights, candles, matches, lighters, and a supply of cash at home.
