On March 20, 2026, an Open Day was held at the Institute of Security Technologies MORATEX – students of the Lodz University of Technology had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the specifics of work in the Metrological Research Laboratory, the Chemical Research Laboratory and the Virtual Reality Workshop, where students had the opportunity to test two original applications for training police officers::
– for dynamic shooting training and field reconnaissance;
– for training in road traffic control.

R&D equipment is used in the implementation of mini-grants as part of the partnership project “Science4Business – Science for business” under Measure 2.5 of the European Funds for Modern Economy (FENG) 2021-2027.

The equipment presented to the students is the result of two investment projects:

– Przejrzysta Strefa Badań i Innowacji – Expanding the scope of research activities of the Institute of the Security Technologies MORATEX (contract no. RPLD.01.01.00-10-0001/17-00), acronym PSI;
– INNOWACYJNE WŁOKIENNICTWO 2020+ (contract no. RPLD.01.01.00-10-0002/17-00), acronym IW2020+.
